We’re looking for a full-stack software engineer ready to work in a fast-paced startup environment, and help grow a company from the ground up.

Guidelines is on a mission to build a truly great product – a precise design tool for brand designers to control, that’s easy enough for anyone to edit.
What You’ll Do:
- Lay the foundations of a great product: With an almost-greenfield product – you’ll design and shape the foundational experiences of this new product
- Innovate & Build: Develop and ship new, first of their kind features, refine and extend our current product and systems.
- Collaborate: Work side-by-side with brand and UI designers to bring these features to life
- Problem Solve: Tackle challenging technical problems, often solo, scaling your work to thousands of users
- Own Your Craft: Take full ownership of your projects, from initial concept through to deployment and beyond.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay on top of emerging technologies, and stay connected to the design community your software supports.
What We’re Looking For:
- Work Experience: 5+ years in full stack Javascript development with a strong portfolio of projects or work experience.
- Technical Experience: Experience in React, NextJS, Typescript, and NodeJS with Vercel, Supabase and TipTap/ProseMirror highly valued. Technical experience with fonts, graphic file formats and PDF generation are too.
- Design Fan: A keen interest in design, with an understanding of UI/UX principles to develop better software. A creative and analytical mindset with a drive to push boundaries and improve user experiences.
- Self Starter: An ability to work well independently and self directed
- Communications: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ready to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
